Structured Cabling Specialist (UK)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Structured Cabling Specialist to join our dynamic team in the data centre services industry. This role requires a customer-focused individual with an engineering mindset who is looking to progress their career in the data centre industry. The duties for this role include installing and commissioning detailed structured cabling systems and working with project management on the design and presentation of structured cabling solutions. The right candidate will also be involved in wider data centre projects.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:

Min. 5 years experience in a similar role.

Excellent understanding of passive networks, specifically copper and fibre from both installation and testing perspectives.

Excellent in MS Excel

Strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Physical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 20kg).

Potentially available for on-call rotation and occasional weekend or night shifts.

An engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel globally for up to two weeks at a time.

Full UK driving license.

Team-oriented and collaborative approach to work.

World-class cable patching standards.

Competency in team leadership/management.

Assist with project management, pricing, recruitment, and pushing the company to the next level.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CNCI, Prince2, or equivalent.

Well-versed with data centre operations.

Previous experience with hyperscale projects.
